Summer Camp Hike

On Friday 12th August, the Scouts had a sneak preview of the possible routes for our Summer Camp Hike. The Leaders will make a final decision on the hike route when we are on camp when we will take into consideration local weather conditions, etc.

The choices were between a relatively easy and non-challenging coastal walk in the local area, versus a more challenging but very rewarding hike up Mount Snowdon. The Leaders were very pleased with the positive response from the Scouts who voted by a majority in favour of a hike up Snowdon. Some of the younger ones will have the option of a lower/easier route, but for all those that do the full route, this will count towards one of the five mountain walks/hikes needed for the difficult to obtain Hiker badge!
