Pre Camp Checks

For those that missed Scouts last Friday 12th August, here are a few reminders for Summer Camp:

Tick List:

• Meet at 9am on Saturday 20th at the Scout Hut (no Scouts on the Friday night)
• FULL Scout uniform including long trousers (NOT summer uniform) and Scouts to wear their Hiking Boots - a) so that we can see they've got them, and b) so that they don't have to pack/carry them!
• Bring a separate daysack with a change of clothes for when we arrive, waterproofs, and a packed lunch with a drink
• ALL medication to be handed in to a Leader on Saturday morning - no self-administering by Scouts, including paracetamol
• Cake - please send a cake in a tin / container. Yum! Yum!
• Scouts can bring some spending money - please send small notes / change - max £20 - to be handed in to Andrew before we leave the Scout Hut on Saturday morning

Kit List Reminders:

• Waterproofs
• 3 Tea Towels
• Coathanger
• 1 Litre Drinks Container
• Swimwear / wetsuit
• Sun hat, sun cream, sun glasses
• Sleeping bag and roll mat
• First Aid Kit (simple, individual) - including insect repellant!
• Plat, Bowl, Mug + Knife, Fork, Spoon

Please DO NOT take:

• Nylon tracksuit bottoms, etc (fire risk around camp fire)
• MP3 players, ipods, etc
• Cameras (the Leaders will take plenty of pictures)
• Mobile phones
• Aerosols
• Too many sweets / goodies!

There will be a full kit inspection on the Sunday morning - anyone found to be contravening the above will have their contraband seized by the Camp Police!
